Live lobster right from the ocean and shipped to you the same day is 10x better than the stuff you get out of a tank. If you pick it up from Air Canada Cargo yourself the price is comparable to the markets, cheaper if you order a bunch. |
2 1.5 lobsters for 60$ plus shipping? Do these things need passports? How do they handle the layovers?
2 x 1.5 = 3 lbs @ 13.95 = 41.85 versus $60+$20? I will admit that there is nothing like fresh out of the ocean and have attended a seafood festival in the maritimes that was amazing, but it's got to do with the volume, turnover and management of the store.
Season of fish also has a lot to do with taste. Noticed lots of fresh halibut hitting the marketplace this week!
