I have to admit I was so WRONG about Bob Hartley especially late this season. During the Sven, Backlund and even Bouma's benching early in the season, I thought he was the wrong head coach to lead this team. I even predicted that Burke might pull the trigger and get rid of Hartley when the Flames was having problem scoring. Now I enjoy his coaching and would love to see the organization extend his contract. He looks positive on the bench and players seems to enjoy playing for him. I think the improvement of Backs, Colborne, Bouma, Byron and the unproven goaltenders we have was because of the entire coaching staff. Oh yeah, I also give credits to Troy Ward and rest of Abby's coaching staff for preparing the young guys to be able to play in the NHL right away.
The way they played in the 3rd period especially was a good indicator on how well the coaching staff on how well they been teaching these guys. Even before the shootout, players and coaches were happy and laughing.
