Seriously?? Why do CP always wants to trade our player especially the ones that are showing improvement? Then we always wants every single players not on this team it doesn't matter if they are old or mediocre or plain bad hockey player. When someone suggested they are available, someone will say 'i don't mind the Flames trading for him or picking him up.'
Colborne might not be a top 6 talent that you might think but as I recall NHL team dresses 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies...so I am okay with him ending up even as a third line player. Chicago won the Cup not just because of Toews, Kane, and other top 6 players. They won it as a team with their 3rd and 4th line players helping out as well.
I am happy with Colborne's improvement and same goes to Backlund, Bouma, Brodie, Byron and hopefully Reinhart, Hanowski, Wotherspoon and others will follow.
