Tyke, isn't as bad as mini tyke. There is still some mob mentality, but the coaches were pretty good with getting them to understand spacing on the floor. I am looking forward to it, as is the boy.

You quoted me too soon I was adding a link!! Please start teaching the kids how to do bounce shots and no side arm underhand junk (not that they would be able to yet). It frustrates me to no end that the NLL has taught everyone to avoid those two shots and every teenager wants to throw side or sub shots.

Also have a stick in your hand more than your boy does. He will pick up the game a lot faster than you will and growing up I always enjoyed playing catch with my dad while he was able to use a lacrosse stick more than when we had to switch to baseball glove for him.

Also also learn about stringing sticks if possible. The number 1 problem kids have is that they get sticks from the store that are strung terribly from the factory. Now that Mountain Edge Lacrosse is gone I am not sure if anywhere strings them before putting them on the shelves. I can help you out if you want as well with this
