Unbreakable is so good in many ways, Signs is absolutely his best film (as well as the best Mel Gibson film ever), and The Village, though widely hated, actually had a lot to say once you get past the fact that the 'twist' in it was pretty obvious. I love the fact that every film he does works with these two concepts of fear and belief and explores them in different ways.

Signs underrated? Not the end of the world here, but honestly, that was amongst the worst movies I've seen. I downloaded it a month before it came out on some leak, and I was really disappointed. Good acting, I agree with you there, but just the climax and ending was just very very disappointing. It was actually a good buildup, but it just became very Disney-like towards the end. They should have made it a 2 1/2 hour movie and took it in another direction...more like a War of the Worlds type angle, but they never played on any suspense or action which they seemed to build towards.
