I think every Shyamalan film other than Sixth Sense is underrated. Unbreakable is so good in many ways, Signs is absolutely his best film (as well as the best Mel Gibson film ever), and The Village, though widely hated, actually had a lot to say once you get past the fact that the 'twist' in it was pretty obvious. I love the fact that every film he does works with these two concepts of fear and belief and explores them in different ways.

Yeah, Big Fish was good. It's sort of like the Shyamalan films in that it would have been considered fantastic had anyone else made it, but given that it was Burton, there was a certain level of weirdness that everyone was expecting and ended up being disappointed in.

My pick would be Gattica, my favorite science-fiction movie of all time. So subtle and completely lacking in special effects, but great acting, gorgeous art direction, and really interesting and timely questions.
