You said in the very same thread where I got the above quote from that unless Knight was injured, he was a sure thing to start the season with the Flames.
"Sure thing" should never be used in describing prospects, especially ones who have yet to even play a pro game.

There is a reason why I use absolute values when projecting prospects. I am trying to improve my scouting abilities, so if say that Poirier blows and misses entirely, and I've been saying that he's going to be a 3rd liner + with 1st line upside, then I can see that I screwed up my estimation, and then can examine why I rated him so high, and why he didn't reach what I was seeing in him. Similarly, I can't go back and say that such and such a prospect was awesome from day one if they randomly breakout and it was completely unnoticed by me.
More information helps me improve, and that is always a good thing, whether the info is positive or negative.
