You'd like Duckstein then. A lot like British brown ales, although like I said, with a pronounced hop taste. It's not sweet and cloying like a lot of Bavarian-style dark beers.
The old Kaiser of Prussia liked this one. Pretty close to my own roots. Maybe there's something genetic to me liking it.
