Hypothetical question for aviation peeps...
If you turned off the transponder, dropped to an (extremely?) low altitude and had no one looking for you for 40 minutes (time between last appearance on radar until someone noticed it was missing), could you make it hard for others to find you?
I know given what we know, or don't know for that matter , anything is possible, but hypothetically speaking ....could this airplane have landed at one of the numerous abandoned military bases in the region without detection?
