Players can be played on the DL retroactively, meaning that this is just par for the course, it also frees up a spot on the 40 man for Alfonzo.
He was placed on the 15 day DL on April 22, meaning that he has to spend at least another 21 days on the DL in order to be eligable to come back. He wasn't really slated to come back until the ASB anyways, I don't think it is any worse.
