It makes me wonder, are people doing this intentionally? Or is it a case of them just going with the flow of traffic?

Why would you have to gun it to get past someone on Deerfoot? I am trying to think of where on Deerfoot you wouldn't be able to just change lanes; it's not like a single lane hwy where you get the occasional passing lane or opportunity to pass and have to gun it when somebody decides to be a jerk and speed up.
