Regardless drafting a guy like Sam Bennett would be great this summer. Would really shore up the centre position. Having him and Monahan as a one-two punch down the middle would be deadly. It would allow Backlund to continue to be that "elite" two-way 3rd line guy and really allow depth to form on the wings.
I agree, I think even pigeonholing Backlund as a #3 is too soon as he has shown vast improvement this year. If he can continue to improve offensively the next couple years he could be a 50 point centreman.

Just saying this gives me a plateful of crow too since I never thought he would be better than a #3 myself

And don't get me started on Janko again, lol
