Speaking of which, what is everyone's infatuation with having to tell anyone the result of any sporting event? It doesn't matter if they don't care about the sport or team, but everyone feels obligated to blurt out the result just so they can say it.
Prime example, my girlfriend was unable to watch the women's hockey game live, and therefore she taped it. A customer came in after the game had ended and asked if she had heard about the hockey game. She said "no, and I'm taping it so please don't tell me", but the lady insisted on informing her of the win. Why?
Happens all the time with sports all the time. The worst is when you say you don't want to hear the result and you get some snide remark like "well the game was boring anyway until the 9th inning" or "you won't be dissapointed with overtime" or "probably not worth watching it anyway". All those things tell me about the game I just asked you not to say anything about!
Hmmm, this turned into a bit of a rant, but it really grinds my gears!
