Got the social media warning from the team this morning, lots of rumors and buzz floating around this place. Fun times.
I work fairly closely with the Canucks, don't have a stall but I've been in the dressing room a number of times. I do not remember anything about off ice issues with Schneider outside of the whole two #1 goalies fiasco. If Luongo got traded when he wanted to be traded Schneider would still be here. Not even sure what the supposed rumor is on this.
One poster just mentioned that this is Gillis cleaning up his own mess and I totally agree. Luongo had to go, wanted to go and the fact that he got anything back is a bonus. Matthias actaully fills a pretty big hole on this team, they needed a 3rd/4th line center badly and got one.
Luongo had major issues with the goalie coach here and struggled with changing his style. I think he will be more comfortable in Florida and be allowed to play more of the way he use to a few years back.
Glad it is finally done.
