Sure, all of the above was true - but Iginla was arguably the biggest UFA trade bait last deadline, allowed the Flames to negotiate with 4 teams, and two rivals were trying to trade for him. It was still a sub-par return. Tampa made out like bandits considering St. Louis demanded a single team to be traded to.
