Honestly, it sounds like you are a very picky gamer. The new consoles have something for just about everybody: Racing, sports, action, adventure, puzzle, survival horror, FPS, etc. The one area that is lacking is RPGs which are the 3 games that you listed above (Final Fantasy, Fallout and Mass Effect)
If that is what you are waiting on, by all means hold off.
Side note pet-peeve: PS4 and XBone are now "current-gen" ps3 and xbox are now "last-gen" sorry small peeve of mine
