I think the anthology format of the show was already well known, but McConaughey has confirmed he won't be back for season 2. If the series is renewed, it will be a new cast, new location, new story. Hopefully the same writers, producers, and theme though. Assuming HBO is able to pull in some fairly high profile actors once again, I wonder who would be the dream pairings?

Pizzolato has hinted at having a female cop I'd love to see what someone like Jessica Chastain or Amy Adams could do in the show.
