After watching tonight's game got to thinking is Cammalleri that much different then Jason Pominville ?Why shouldn't the Flames receive similar value to what Buffalo received last year?? Which was:Buffalo Sabres traded Jason Pominville and a 4th round selection in 2014 to the Minnesota Wild for Matt Hackett, Johan Larsson, a 1st round selection in 2013 and a 2nd round selection in 2014. Now before I get torn apart for this suggestion they are both the same age and although Pominville had 1 year left on his contract at the time he was traded would that make up a whole ton of extra value??Numbers wise they are almost bang on over their careers and yes although Pominville has 42pts in 62gp this year and Cammy has 21pts in 43gp one would have to think if Cammy hadn't been injured and played 62 games he too would be closer to 40pts this year also.Lets discuss what would that extra year left on his contract vs UFA status be worth because I truly feel they are very similar players so in a way we could use last years trade as a bit of a comparison to what Cammalleri's value might end up being worth.
