There are probably 10 Hitchcock films that are better than any movie released in 2013 alone (North By Northwest, Rear Window, Vertigo, Dial M For Murder, Strangers on a Train, Psycho, The 39 Steps, Rope, The Birds, and Notorious). Heck even after that he still has plenty of great movies. They just don't make them like they used to. Vertigo isn't even my favorite Hitchcock film, but there is just so many flawless aspects of that film, and Novak's performance is one of them. It's funny that Rebecca is Hitchcock's only movie that won best picture, and yet most critics don't rank it near the top of his own list of best movies.

Nope
I, along with many critics, find her wooden.
I don't think Vertigo is ever going to conclusively unite people on every aspect.
