Haha, McConaughey does nothing notable for almost two decades and wins an Oscar on his first try. DiCaprio has been shooting for an Oscar in about the same period and is now 0 for 5 (What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Aviator, Blood Diamond, and was nominated twice for Wolf of Wall Street). Then you can add in all the other performances that may have been at least worthy of a nomination. He'll win it eventually (probably a few times), but maybe he needs to try something on his own, and get away from Scorsese for a bit to distinguish himself in another light. Surely he'll make due with everything he else he has though (fame, fortune, supermodels, etc).
