A little bit of background on this question.

I lied on my resume to hide 2 months of work that just didn't work out for me. I recently got a great job offer somewhere, but now I'm unsure if that lie will come back to bite me in the ass.

So can an employer use my SIN to do a background check to see that I lied on my resume?
