In the lead-up to the draft last year I was concerned that all of Monahan's goals seemed like garbage goals, in the sense that he'd whack it in from right in front of the net and the crease. I was a bit worried he wouldn't be able to translate that game to the pros because he wouldn't have as much space to work in front of the bet. Boy was I wrong!
His shooting precision (both goals against the Coilers last night, for example) is really impressive. He plays a simple game and makes it look really easy, but the boy's got game!
