Locking up people indefinitely is an entirely different argument - its pretty hard to argue to let them out when you're talking about a crime as brutal and disgusting as this. There are a lot of schizophrenic people out there that aren't treated at all and they do not go around beheading people on buses. Its semi offensive to think that all mentally ill people are being thrown into a lump with this guy - he is not an average patient. The fact is that there are legitimate concerns that this guy could disappear and go completely nutbar again because he's off of his meds.
Do you want to be sitting next to this guy on the next bus trip he takes?
