Disagree. It's nowhere near as formulated and isn't wrapped up each week. How often do main characters get killed off on a primetime show as well?
My wife still watches a ton of those shows like The Blacklist and CSI. I've given up on just about all of them for shows like The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, True Detective and a few others. The Walking Dead may not be perfect, but it is waaay better than regular primetime, formulated TV.
