The Jays website, as well as the Star, says that 32 year-old minor league journeyman Luis Figueroa will join the team. He's played in just four MLB games, and that was five years ago with the Pirates... but he did have a decent spring training with Toronto. I would hope that he'll serve as a seldom used back-up until Adams (or someone else) re-joins the team.

The move means that the Jays will have to drop someone from their 40-man roster (despite having a two other minor league middle infielders already on their 40-man). They had to do that last weekend, and ended up losing prospect Miguel Negron on waivers in the process.
