I guess i've been in the US too long, but watching that. I was scared for the guy when it charged at him. As he fired his shots it looked like it was taking another run at him.
It's not like he was hiding and snuck up on the Moose, the thing literally attacked him taking 2 runs and was beginning a third.
If I had a gun on me, with no help or nowhere to run to at that moment. I probably would've done the same thing out of fear and adrenaline.

Is it sad? Absolutely! He should have taken a shot and put the moose down. It looked like it was still struggling. That's my issue with the video. He cowardly rode away. I'd even go further and say why not use the meat??
If this was in Canada he'll get in big trouble.. are hand guns legal at all?
