I am sure Burke did offer Cammalleri a fair contract. He is part of the leadership group that has this team going hard. He is also one of our best forwards.
That said, Burke isn't going to overpay. Trading Cammalleri is a fine option if he doesn't accept the fair offer.
It's win win for Calgary. Good player on a good contract, or we get the return from the trade.
