Flames are in deep salary cap floor trouble next season and need to overpay him or a FA big time.
I'm predicting they offer him a one year, 7 million dollar deal and agree to trade him at the deadline NEXT year. He gets a big one year pay day, and the Flames meet the floor and can afford to bring in a bunch of entry level rookies like Poirier and Gaudreau next year.
