It also comes with a free month of live, so anyone who gets the bundle can at least get going on the game. It also states fairly clearly (on the MS store site I bought from) that Live gold is required to play. Hopefully people can read.
I fail to see how MS including their biggest game with the console is a bad decision for the consumer at all.
