The fact that we are not a shining beacon of talent is what Burke is supposed to be addressing by dealing away our expiring contracts. When Burke canned Feaster many were over the moon (no pun intended Moon) because they felt that Burke was the guy for the rebuild, he would be doing great trades and adding to that lack of talent, so far he seems to be just reupping players, rather than showing his strength in trades. If he is stuck with the hand he has then he is the wrong guy for a rebuild because that is not the attitude we need right now.

You are putting way too much emphasis on expiring contracts. Non expiring contracts may also be just as valuable and potentially more movable moving forward.
Even when Burke hires a new GM, the buck is still going to stop with him. Given you aren't a fan, that might not be nice to hear, but it's true.
