Engineers are very educated to be engineers but in my experience most of them aren't educated in too much beyond that. I say that having worked in the engineering industry for almost 20 years and both of my parents being PhD's in Engineering.
I've always thought that engineers should be forced to take lots of liberal arts courses like:
-Ethics for Engineers: Just cuz you can do it doesn't mean you should
-Humanities for Engineers: How do I interact with the humans
-Sociology for Engineers: Understanding sarcasm and basic body language
-General Studies for Engineers: Brushing your hair and wearing clean clothes doesn't make you a bad engineer
