I don't get people who are squeamish about their nice shoes. I mean, sure, polish them, tree them, take care of them, but don't hide them. I keep mine under my desk at work but they're gonna get salt and crap on them in this city, it's inevitable. A well made, well cared for shoe laughs at that kind of "abuse". They're shoes, you don't need to baby them, and the fact that they're built to withstand whatever comes their way is part of the reason they cost hundreds of dollars in the first place.
