The last two episodes have been hit and miss for me. But I think that's not unexpected since we have basically 4 or 5 short-stories running concurrently.
In the last episode, the Darryl and Beth storyline didn't really serve much purpose, wandering around aimlessly in the woods. My guess was it was just to give Darryl some air-time. They could have just as easily stuck it in next week's episode, which looks like it's going to focus on them.
The Tyrese storyline was kinda meh to me as well. I gotta say that psycho girl is a pretty intriguing character. I also assume that in upcoming episodes they'll play up the Tyrese/Carol tension that got cut off prior to the prison invasion.
Glenn and that girl escaping the prison and meeting Abraham has been very cool so far. I like that storyline the most so far I think.
Maggie storming the bus looking for Glenn was also awesome.
The Rick/Carl/Michonne storyline has been up and down. It's really weird the 180 the Michonne character has done. I like the more cheery version of Michonne, but the swing from broody to cheery was way too sudden. Having those hillbillies invade the house was awesome though. I loved the whole zombie time bomb Rick left in the bathroom. That was pretty smart.
