Former Enron executives Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling were convicted Thursday of conspiracy to commit securities and wire fraud in one of the biggest business scandals in U.S. history.

"Obviously, I'm disappointed," Skilling told reporters outside the courthouse. "But that's the way the system works."
That's the way the system works? The system is to blame? These guys used a major corporation as their personal piggy bank and ruined thousands of people financially as a result. Oh well, that's the way the system works. These white-collar pirates should never be allowed outside a jail cell.
