Trevor Kidd's career hadn't started yet. He was only drafted in 1990.
The season after the draft, he was traded to Spokane and led them to the Memorial Cup. Then, the next year, he played for the National team (only got one game in Albertville) and joined the Flames after the Olympics were over.
If the NHL stopped going to the Olympics, we'd start seeing players do that again.
