they have kept the color scheme and logo through the years and likely would want to continue as it has been a staple in Seattle for a long time.
This is the current incarnations jerseys, the dark is more or less the same as it was back in the 70s, the current whites just have the colours reversed. The original whites had the same style as the Red Wings whites (obviously with green instead of red)
