I did not say I was taking their side, I said I was well versed, very different.
And yes my friend and I can differ in opinion but still remain very close friends, he is also strong union and a big NDP supporter but I don't hold it against him. :-) Are you saying that because someone holds a different opinion that they should just shut up? My friends and family don't think that way and it would be a shame if that's how you think?
I am not saying that this would create a big issue,what I am saying is that there are some people who will want it to be an issue. If the media picked up on that take on the issue it could steamroll and that is the reason I think the NHL would ask them to go back to the drawing board. If they did take a name like this they would have a very fine line to walk so as to not seem to be looking fun at their heritage in any way shape or form.
Could you imagine a mascot? I mean how could you create anything that would be politically correct in today's society?
