That's fine, and fair enough, but you originally claimed you were just playing devil's advocate, which generally means you were taking the side of an issue you didn't side of for the sake of discussion, but now you're saying you're well versed with that side.
Also, I wonder if your friends and family would like being called trouble makers who just create issues and seek media attention. I wouldn't like it if a friend of mine said that.
