Meh.
I generally avoid complaining about threads, but it kind of irks me when people list "the worst song" from bands they hardly know. It's pretty much the same as teenage girls crying "OMG BIEBER IS THE BEST EVER", just in reverse.
Most of the worst songs from these artists are probably songs most have never heard of.
For example, Voulez-Vous or Does Your Mother Know are not in the ballpark of ABBA's worst songs, and I doubt anyone who has heard more ABBA would think they are even close to that ballpark. (I would call both damn good songs.) Try something like "
Like An Angel Passing Through My Room" or "
Nina, Pretty Ballerina" (if you hate dancing queen, this is basicly an earlier, crappier version of the same song). Or "
Fernando". The combination of quasi-political tones and the syrupy romanticism is truly cringe-worthy.
Beatles - "
Flying" Terrible psychedelic crap. Also "
Till There Was You" is just awful. Terrible song, terrible version. Although the lyrics are so bad they're actually quite hilarious.
David Bowie - "
Teenage Wildlife". I get what Bowie was going for with that singing style, but dear lord it's truly painful. The tacky choir doesn't improve the situations.
Queen - Plenty of candidates. have you heard for example "
My Fairy King"
