There seems to be some revisionist history happening here. Sarich was a huge whipping boy around here when he was a Calgary Flame for his weak attempts at clearing the zone and his skating style as if he were in quick sand.
But now, he used to be an adequate guy on the team.
He's had a good (maybe even great) season in Colorado, but that doesn't change who he was in Calgary.
But at the end of the day, the whole lot of players involved in the deal are overpaid guys with serious consistency issues. It was a change of scenery type of deal that could have worked out for the Flames, but didn't.
Regardless the outcome, I'm just glad Tanguay is off the team.
