IMO ... Tanguay didn't have negative trade value. He tanked his value after Iginla/Bouw left, but I still think we could have gotten something more than negative value.
Sarich ... never thought he was garbage. For games he wasn't playing, I thought he was still a good player (albeit sloooooow). SOB I have an irrational hate for so don't expect me to be rational about him

I am not defending the contracts they were given, I don't like either contract all that much, especially Tanguay's.
As for Tanguay I don't think there were many takers, even less that he would be willing to go to. No team want'ed to take on 3.5 million for multiple seasons with the CBA uncertainty at the time.
Sarich, I liked alot. But him complaining every off season about playing time is a huge red flag. He wasn't going to waive him NTC to play for a team that wasn't going to give him playing time.
