Tanguay and his poor attitude stripped him of all trade value and you don't want someone like him around your developing prospects. I would rather have a less productive player with a good attitude than him.
Same goes for Sarich/O'Brien. Get the bellyaching away from the room, if it costs an extra year to do so, so be it.

Kind of makes you wonder why these 2 guys were signed in the first case? Moreover... in Tanguay's case, why give a guy with "pouting history" a 5 year contract?
IMO ... Tanguay didn't have negative trade value. He tanked his value after Iginla/Bouw left, but I still think we could have gotten something more than negative value.
Sarich ... never thought he was garbage. For games he wasn't playing, I thought he was still a good player (albeit sloooooow). SOB I have an irrational hate for so don't expect me to be rational about him
