Maybe fans don't lose sleep over wasting this type of money but if I was an owner I wouldn't be exactly thrilled especially when one of the bad contracts you took in what's looking like a lopsided trade is playing in Abbotsford with another year remaining on his 1 way deal.

Flames Owners have one of the lowest overall salaries in the league... I would think they will make quite the profit this year.
I doubt the Owners would even look at a minor trade as stated above.
They would be more interested in the path forward and how will they be competitive.
Tanguay or Sarich will not be in the league in my view when the Flames are back in the race.
