To be fair to BBQorMILDEW, I don't think he was stating that as his personal opinion. I believe he was stating that was likely to be societies reaction.

Yes it's rediculous that society can't look past sexual orientation, but you can't change people over night. There are still people who judge based on race and that has arguably been in the spotlight longer than homophobia.
