Lots and lots of people don't like PT Anderson movies. There Will Be Blood is the only one that most admit is a good movie, but they still don't like it that much. Boogie Nights gets a good amount of love too. However, The Master, Hard Eight, Punch Drunk Love, and Magnolia specifically, all get a lot of hate or under appreciation. Magnolia is an amazing film but people dismiss it because of frogs falling from the sky. There is an element of surreality to his films that intrude into the mundane stories and characters that he portrays with incredible reality, and a lot of people find that jarring and confusing. I can't get enough of it.

Well Hot Rod I was just joking about, but I've never met anyone that didn't at least appreciate a couple of P.T. Anderson's films. So I stick by my original statement.
