Agree with the video guy about Gladiator. Hated it.
The big one for me, however, is Titanic. The effects and sets were nice but the story relied on cliche and stereotypes. There was nothing original nor endearing about it. What was worse was the critical acclaim and box office success. The only positive was that *spoiler alert* Leo's character dies. When James Cameron won the Oscar for it and started his speech with a moment of silence for the victims of Titanic I almost threw my remote through the TV. Seriously? Those people died probably before his parents were born, they've been given memorials all over the world and the victims stories have been told more times than Leo yelled "Rose!". The moment of silence was just so Hollywood fake, pretentious d-bag. At the end of it I felt like there should have been a moment of silence for the real victims: people that were subjected to the movie, the Oscar speech and Camerons ego. I still can't believe it won the Oscar.
