Beyond that Fight Club is another "cool" first world problem movie, that preaches why should we give a damn, and what's the point of everything? That's not something really new even though it tries to fashion itself into something that is. It's a tad preachy as well, and tries to stand against what the everyday man works to accomplish. It's a very bleak movie, and I didn't find myself giving a crap about the characters, and while it's well made it just wasn't something I found that interesting. It's really the movies outlook that I didn't enjoy. Not that I need something to be overly optimistic, but if he didn't really give a crap about anything then why should I care about him (or the movie)?

Ok, so it wasn't for you, but you didn't hate it, so it's kinda off topic for this thread doncha think? Maybe your list needs revision.
And fair criticisms, but I think it goes to a deep dark place in all of us that we don't want to admit exists. I love films that do that, so to each their own.
