Dara Howell is 2nd on the tour in points, so there is a good chance of a medal here. Lamarre has Top 5 potential and Tsubota Top 10. Our biggest competition is 17-year old German Lisa Zimmermann.

Women's Luge Runs 3 & 4 - Alex Gough sits in 5th and McRae in 6th, but 2nd-9th could go any which way. No chance at gold on this one, but I expect Gough to compete heavily for the Bronze (3rd-4th likely finish).

Other events:

Biathlon - Women's 10km Pursuit - Four Canadians in this event but a medal is extremely unlikely.
Cross-Country Skiing Men's/Women's Sprints - The extremely exciting sprints! This event will feature Chandra Crawford who won gold in Turin, but it is unlucky she'd match that performance. On the Men's side however, Alex Harvey represents our best chance and should have a Top 10 finish. Len Valjas is an outside Top 10 chance.

Figure Skating - Pairs' Short Program begins. Three Canadian teams involved, both Duhamel/Radford and Moores-Towers/Moskovitch have top 5 potential and one of them might sneak out a bronze.

Curling - Canada faces Sweden today in both the Men's and Women's draws.

Also: Women's Ski Jumping, Men's Half-Pipe, Ladies' 500m Long-Track.
Thought I'd add Kelekin's daily preview from the other thread. Canadian women in pretty good shape in ski slopestyle, need to keep their momentum from qualifying.
