I'm not even sure if it would be considered mainstream in Saudi Arabia. Even if it was, Saudi Arabians only make up a small minority of the world's muslims. (Most being found in South Asia, ie. Indonesia, Pakistan, and India).
It doesn't reflect the teachings of Islam in most regions where the religon is prevalent.

If he was interested in 'balance', he'd acknowledge that some Western textbooks, including those published by and presumably used by Bob Jones University, are guilty of the the same demonization.
