One of my concerns is- Because of what has gone on with him lately, IMO he would be considered a "B" type of prospect if ever part of a deal. It would indeed would be silly to trade him at the momment, calm down- that's not what I'm saying, the question was how much VALUE DOES HE HAVE RIGHT NOW. Thanks to some of you who actually read that and answered appropriately. I also don't blame Burke for Sven's play and where he is now but did I think it was a smart thing to devalue your top prospect publicly and expect to get much in terms of value for him later ? not really. Most prospects don't make it in all reality, but unfortunately, Burke has made it harder to ever use Sven as a valuable trade piece if he ever had to. IMO, you don't call out prospects or potential valuable prospects as thats just bad business and not smart. You try and hide your hand and make everyone else think you hold them in very high regard, hense, holding some value. It's not fricken rocket science. So now, even though he doesn't like Sven right now, he screwed himself of ever trading him for anything of value due to his big stupid yap. Catch 22 stupidity. Not that I'm opposed to keeping Sven and developing him, but, he was a valuable prospect/asset that had a very high stock value until Burke got there and now he is worth next to nothing. And who knows, maybe Sven might of come out that way anyways, but, I would of rathered another team figure that out after they had traded us something of value.
